What the open days are
Every September, the CB Grup Barna Escoleta — the club's basketball school, running since 1965 — invites the neighbourhood's boys and girls to try a real training session. It is not an exhibition or a talk for parents: it is a session like any Saturday's, with the usual coaches and the rest of the group, and your child plays from the first minute.
It is free and carries no commitment. Come, try it, then decide at your own pace. That is how everyone playing at the club today started, including the ones who reached the ACB and the Liga Femenina Endesa.
When and where
- Saturday 19 September 2026, 9 am — La Nau del Clot.
- Saturday 26 September 2026, 9 am — La Nau del Clot.
You can pick one of the two Saturdays or both: the booking form lets you tick the days that suit you. And if you want more after the trial, the whole of September is a trial month: anyone who signs up during the open days can train for the rest of the month before deciding anything.
50 places per Saturday, and they are going
To run the session properly — every child touching the ball, nobody queuing all morning — each session has 50 places, full stop. Bookings are first come, first served, and the counter on the booking page is real: it goes down with every family that signs up. When a Saturday is full, it is full; no chairs get added.
If you already know you want to come, book your place now: it takes a minute and saves you missing out.
How to book
Everything happens at cbgrupbarna.info/en/open-days. We ask for the child's name, age and year of birth, whether they have played basketball before, which Saturdays you are coming, and a contact email. Once you send it, the booking is recorded and you will get a confirmation email with the day and time.
What to bring
Sports clothes, trainers and a bottle of water. We provide the ball, in the right size for each age. Parents stay in the stands: you can see everything, and children settle better when they play on their own.
What if my child has never played?
Even better. That is exactly what the Escoleta is for: boys and girls aged 4 to 8 starting from zero, in age groups and mixed teams. Nobody expects them to know how to play; the only job on day one is to have fun with a ball. If you want to know how children move from the Escoleta to the federated teams, we explain it in What age can you start playing basketball.
